Emotional Computing and the Open Agent Society

This position statement outlines a
programme of research in computing
with emotions in a certain type of
distributed multi-agent system that
we call an open agent society. We
summarise recent results in agent-mediated
human-human interaction,
human-agent interaction, and agent-agent
interaction, describe a platform
for estimating an emotive state
from physiological signals, and consider
a number of short-term and
long-term challenges.
