On fuzzy successors

Conventional addition builds upon
the ordinary successor operator. It
can therefore be expected that a
formal algebraic approach to fuzzy
arithmetic should likewise be based
on a notion of fuzzy successors, and
indeed allowing for a family of fuzzy
successors. In this paper we aim
at formalizing the first steps towards
an understanding of an algebraically
formal description of fuzzy
addition.
